We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations, in particular the GDPR, the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). Unless stated otherwise below, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract or pre-contractual measures), Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Personal data is deleted as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.<\/p>\n

This website is operated by an external hosting provider with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. When you visit the website, the server automatically collects and stores information in server log files transmitted by your browser: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, date and time of the request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free, secure and stable provision of the website. Log files are stored only for as long as necessary for these purposes and are then deleted, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.<\/p>\n

We use the web analytics service Plausible Analytics by Plausible Insights O\u00dc, V\u00e4striku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia. Plausible works without cookies and does not store or read any information on your device. No personal user profiles are created; your IP address is only processed in shortened, hashed form and is not stored. Requests are forwarded to Plausible via our own server, and data is processed exclusively on servers in the EU. Only aggregated information such as pages visited, referrer, country, device type and browser is collected. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the statistical analysis and improvement of our website. A data processing agreement has been concluded with the provider.<\/p>\n

7. Contact form and contact by e-mail<\/h2>\n

If you contact us via the contact form or by e-mail, we process the information you provide (name, e-mail address, message) in order to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The message is forwarded to us by e-mail. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or is necessary for pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We do not pass on this data without your consent. The data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully processed and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.<\/p>\n

8. Fonts and icons<\/h2>\n

The fonts used on this website (including Barlow and Barlow Condensed) are hosted locally on our server; no connection to Google servers is established. Icons are provided by the Font Awesome library, which is loaded via the cdnjs content delivery network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the consistent and fast display of the website.<\/p>\n

9. Links to social networks<\/h2>\n

Our website contains simple links to our profiles on Facebook and Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland). These are not plugins: no data is transferred to these providers when you visit our website. Only when you click a link are you taken to the provider’s page, which then processes data under its own responsibility.
